As both an author and an experienced festival interviewer, I bring a double perspective to conversations on stage. Having appeared at many literary festivals myself, I have a fair sense of what makes these events engaging for both writer and audience. My aim is always to create a genuine rapport with the author, putting them at ease while drawing out the stories and insights that only they can share. At the same time, I am conscious of the audience’s needs, shaping the discussion so that it feels lively, accessible and memorable.
